I will be conducting a 5-week seminar for school teachers on the
topic
"Swift and Twain: Satiric Contrasts," under the sponsorship of the
National Endowment for the Humanities. The seminar will be held at Emory
University in Atlanta from June 27 to July 29. Participants in past years
have usually been high school English teachers, but all school personnel,
K-12, are also eligible. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, native
residents of a U.S. jurisdiction, or foreign nationals who have been
residing in the U.S. for at least three years. It is not necessary to
have expertise in the subject(s) of the NEH seminars; please pass this
information along to anyone who might be interested. For more information
and an application, write to Prof. John Sitter, English Dept., Emory
Univ., Atlanta, GA 30322, or e-mail to: [log in to unmask]

Thanks
JS
