I was surprised to see Twain crop up on "In Living Color";
they ran a segment of "Men on Books," and about midway through
the list of reviewed works they spent a lengthy amount of time
discussing _Roughing It_: "a book about men capering through the
wilderness, in a time when this country was more *open* to
*exploration*" - or words to that effect.  They also discussed
whether SLC's middle name was "Langhorne" or "Longhorn"...then
headed off in a predictable direction, if you've seen the
"Men on ___" segments.

References to Twain appear in the oddest places.  First Star Trek,
now this...
