At 5:15pm on Thursday October 29th, we experienced a problem with the backup 
power supply in the main York data centre resulting in an outage affecting most 
computing systems at York.  Recovery of systems began immediately with 
computing services restored through the evening.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.  Please let us know if you are still 
experiencing any issues.
