Yesterday, I received the sad news that Michael Fish had passed away following an illness. Many of us in the archival community may reminder him for his involvement with the Archives Association of Ontario, having served as President in the early 2000s, as well as his long time career as archivist for the City of Windsor.

Many of you signed the online petition opposing the dismantling of HHS. There are now about 1850 e-signatures. However, Halton Region only accepts petitions with 'wet ink' signatures, not e-petitions. The 2026 Budget review process on Dec 10th provided the first opportunity to critique and publically challenge the dismantling decision in a public forum.

Just wondering if anybody has ever worked with or knows a reliable and
experienced consultant full-stack developer who has expertise in Django and
preferably experience building custom databases? Looking to build an
internal CMS from the ground up but need some external tech support to push
it to completion and thought someone here may have sought out
similar services before. Any recommendations?
