The following is posted on behalf of the City of Kitchener:

MANAGER OF CORPORATE RECORDS

Located within our Corporate Services Department and reporting to the City
Clerk, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day
administration and operation of the City's Corporate Records Management
Program.  Your specific responsibilities include managing the delivery of
various records services, including filing system development and
implementation, records inventory and retention scheduling, document
conversion (micrographics and scanning), and operating an in-house records
centre, a corporate archives, and an internal reference library program.
You are also responsible for:  managing the City's automated records
management and library management systems; implementing several corporate
initiatives (including vital records and contingency planning, imaging
management, and electronic records scheduling); and developing and
coordinating other new program components.  You will hire and supervise the
day to day activities of Corporate Records Management staff as well as
prepare and manage the capital and operating budgets.

The successful candidate must have:
*       a university degree and/or certification in one or more of the
following areas: records management, archival studies, library or
information science;
*       a practical working knowledge of all aspects of records management
and archives program development and delivery;
*       a minimum of 5 years direct records management or archives
experience;
*       proven project management skills;
*       demonstrated oral and written communication skills; and
*       proficiency in the use of personal computers and the application of
information technology, including document management of records and
archives.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
*       supervisory experience; and
*       knowledge and expertise in managing electronic records.

Salary:  $45,026. - $56,282. per annum
