I submit this posting on behalf of the Corporation of the County of Bruce:


The Corporation of the County of Bruce requires a full-time Archivist
for the Bruce County Museum & Archives, located in Southampton, on the
shores of beautiful Lake Huron. The successful candidate will be
responsible for the preservation of the Bruce County Archives
collection, and for the development and maintenance of a records
management archival system. The Archivist also assists the Corporation
with records retention management, solicits new collections and develops
archival programs and exhibitions. The Museum & Archives will be housed
in a new facility, slated for construction in 2003.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Archival Studies or Records Management from a
recognized college or university
• Sound computer skills, particularly with relevant software

At least two years experience working in an archives would be an asset.
