Folks;

Kerry Driscoll has been working on Twain's interest in Indian religions and
I believe he considers Twain to have been quite fascinated in native
spirituality.  How this new insight might actually problematize the versions
of Twain's understanding of Indians as already expressed on the LIST is
beyond me at the moment.

But, Kerry, if you are out there listening, perhaps you should weigh in on
this topic.
