This is good--thanks.  It's consistent with many other places where he says
essentially the same thing.  He echoed Thoreau's Res to Civil Gov't, though
I'm quite sure he didn't know that.

I've heard Holbrook deliver these lines on several occasions.  I can hear
his Twain-impersonation voice now, as I read them.
