Off list, a number of folks have been discussing the "War Prayer" and asking
me questions about the story.  For anyone interested, you might like my
article, "Mark Twain and Tom Paine: `Common Sense' as Source for `The War
Prayer'." (CCTE Studies. 54 (1989): 132-49). If memory serves, a chunk of
this article is in my little dissertation at the Forum website.
