I'm a newcomer to this forum and this is my first posting. I'm looking for
detailed information about the family's visit to Keokuk Iowa in early July
1886. I'm aware of Paine's handling of it in the AUTOBIOGRAPHY and I have
a
copy of Twain's letter to his mother after the trip (wherein he talks of
Keokuk's hellishly hot weather). Online there are some Daily Gate articles
about
Twain's visit the previous year, but so far I've found nothing about his
return in 1886. Can anybody offer some research leads?
