For those who have been confused, the issue date of the recent _New Yorker_
containing the left-out episode of Huck Finn is the July 3, 1995 issue, on
your newsstands now, as the pulchritudinous Ms. Brown would like you to
know.
Follow-up articles are by Roger Angell, Bobbie Ann Mason, William Styron, E.
Doctorow, and David Bradley. I will blame the brevity and lack of depth of
the five previously named individuals' work on the aim of the even more
previously named Ms. Brown to make a buck with a scoop rather than to
contribute much to Twain (or any other) scholarship.
Yes, that was a cheap shot, but it was so damned easy.
