According to Barnum's autobiography, his unusual mansion, "Iranistan,"
burned to the ground. What in the world were those people moving?

Joe Vitale is correct.

I gave out some bad information here, due primarily to laziness. The house I
spoke of did belong to Barnum, but it was not the one called "Iranistan." It
could have been "Waldemere."

I also gave out bad information on the percentage of the house that remains.
One third remains in Stratford. One third was relocated and turned into a
restaurant. The other third lies in Davey Jones' locker.
My apologies for sloppy research.
