Twainians,
I /am /an attorney (although I don't know what that adds) and a B.A. in
English, and I think a Hal Holbrook performance to raise money is an
EXCELLENT idea. I think the other ideas presented--acquire patrons,
nationalize the Twain house, make known supporters like Alex Trebek
aware of the current situation--are excellent as well. The point is
that there is at least some money out there that would be allocated,
donated, committed if people were made aware of the need. If we use
varied approaches to raise people's awareness, the necessary funds will
be made available.
