The AAO Board would like to welcome you to submit a proposal to host the
2012 AAO Conference. Hosting an AAO conference is an excellent way to
showcase the local archives, museums, and heritage resources in your area.
Typically 100 archivists, archives assistants, and others attend from
across the province. The conference usually lasts three days with an
optional workshop on the first day, followed by two days of conference
sessions. As a host of the conference you would be involved with local
arrangements, while a separate committee will work on developing the
conference theme and coordinating sessions.
The AAO Board will be meeting again on April 16th, and we hope to have
several proposals to review at the meeting. The successful proposal for
the 2011 conference in Thunder Bay has been attached to help guide your
submission.
Start planning how you can showcase the archives and heritage of your area
in 2012, today!
