Subject: 16mm film conversion

Good morning, I'm sure this has been asked before but... can anyone recommend a company that will convert our 3 reels of 16mm film to digital? They spools are about 9cm diameter. They are from the 1920s and dirty. The spools they are on are a little rusty but not atrocious.

I don't suppose location matters, as I would be sending by post/courier. Could you also advise on what (file) format is best for digital preservation of film?

Thank you
