The University of Toronto is accepting submissions from our employer partners interesting in hosting our talented Master of Information students for the summer of 2023!


We have a diverse group of graduate co-op students that are studying Archives and Records Management, Library and Information Science, Culture and Technology, Critical Information Policy Studies,  Data Science, UXD, Information Systems, Information Policy, Knowledge Management. Master of Information Co-op Program

(our Master of Information program has 8 concentrations ranging from general stream to: Archives Records Management, Library Info Services, Human Centered Data Science, Knowledge Mgmt & Info Mgmt, User Experience Design, Information Systems Design, Critical Info Policy Studies, Culture and Technology

  *   An opportunity to bring MI students full-time into your organization
  *   The student is supervised (even if the work is being done remotely) by a full-time employee that is senior in experience to the student
  *   Work terms are typically 4 or 8 months with full-time hours.  The preference is 16 weeks per 4-month work term, however, the very minimum is 12 weeks and 420 hours for one work term
  *   The position must be paid (at least minimum wage)
  *   The student is hired as an employee (must be on your payroll)
  *   The next recruitment cycle starts mid-January for positions that start May

Create an Account:

  2.  Find your organization and enter your Contact information.
  3.  If your organization is NOT listed, type in the full name of your organization and complete your account information.
  4.  Once your account have been approved, you will be notified within 3 business days. You will then be able to access your account, post your position, and view applications.

Post your positions:

  1.  Sign in and click ‘Post a Position’ from the left menu of the Home page. We suggest a 2-3 week application window to help our students balance the demands of the recruitment cycle and their coursework. We do understand that your recruitment timelines will vary based on your needs.
  2.  On the posting page, select ‘Summer 2023’ for the Work Term and select ‘Mi Co-op’ for the Position Type.
  3.  Complete the form and click ‘Submit’. Positions will be reviewed and approved within 3 business days. You will receive an approval confirmation email.
