        Through an annual, juried competition, the FoCA Board awards
research grants to provide financial assistance to students, faculty
members, and others not necessarily associated with an academic
institution, who propose to undertake *archival *research in Canada on an
aspect of *the history of mental health and illness*, including addiction/
substance use.  The Board approves awards to a maximum of $5,000.
