Hello everybody,

Elgin County Archives received some great coverage for our newspaper digitization project today on CBC's London Morning radio program. What is really great about this project is the success we have had with OCR over the newspapers to generate key word search results that can now be batched with other records related to the same search. Gina Dewaele represented us well in this piece!

You can listen to the interview here<https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-158-london-morning> under the clip "Preserving the past".

There is also an article about the project that you can access here<https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/curious-about-the-news-in-1853-elgin-county-archivists-are-putting-it-online-1.6615366>.
