This is a wee reminder that the deadline for submissions to the AAOEe for workshop proposals is coming up soon, on Friday September 9.


The AAO East/est Chapter<https://aao-archivists.ca/aaoee> (AAOEe) is seeking presenters for workshops for the 2022-2023 year from those of you willing to share your expertise and knowledge regarding archival work.



Workshop specifications:

Workshops should be 2-3 hours long, with the goal of providing attendees with skills and/or knowledge on a specific topic related to archives and/or the information profession more broadly. Full-day workshops are also welcome. Examples of workshop topics include digital records management, archival preservation programs, archival processing, copyright in archives, etc.



Workshops can take place online or in-person; in-person events are typically hosted in Ottawa. Our Chapter hosts 2-3 events a year in the fall, winter, and spring. An honorarium will be provided.



If you are interested in submitting a workshop proposal, please send an email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with the following information:

  1.  Name, Title, Institution
  2.  Email address or other contact information
  3.  A brief description of the proposed workshop topic (approx. 100 words)
  4.  Online or in-person workshop
  5.
Preferred time of year to present
  6.  ​

Deadline to submit a workshop proposal is Friday, September 9th.
