If you are in Ottawa between February 3-13, take the opportunity to see a
unique photo exhibition about China. The exhibition is entitled "Faces of
China: A Window on Chinese Culture Through the Lifestyles of Contemporary
China".

The exhibition takes place at the University of Ottawa University Centre,
Terminus area, at 85 University St., from February 3-13, 1998.

These 19 photographs by Dr. Jayanta Guha document the traditions, culture
and the changes occuring within China today. They capture the contrast
between urban and rural China, and members of vibrant minority groups like
the Miao.

Dr. Guha is from the Univerité de Québec - Chicoutimi. For the past 10
years, he has been directing a Chanada-China university linkage project,
and his work has focussed on the fields of mineral resources, environment
and rgional development.
