This position has a comprehensive benefits program.

This position is for three years. Transportation will be required for
travel within the city and northern Alberta. Interested applicants may

DutiesThis is a 3-year study funded by the Alberta Heritage Foundation for
Medical Research. Under the leadership of Dr. Alex Clark, this research
focuses on exploring the factors affecting the health behaviours of people
with heart disease who have low incomes.
Coordinates preparation and submission of research proposals, and
contributes to all stages of proposal writing
Participates in data collection and analysis by arranging interviews with
research participants, conducting in-depth interviews, arranging for
transcription, and undertaking analysis
Assists with preparation of manuscripts, presentations and other forms of
dissemination
Develops and maintains budgets, records transactions and makes revisions
to budget projections
Maintains reference database and article library
Drafts reports, including ethics, funding and annual reports
Schedules research team meetings, prepares agendas and takes minutes
Arranges travel for research team members
Assists with supervision of research assistants and PhD students
Oversees timesheets and payroll matters of research assistants
Monitors and updates project time-lines as required
Assists research team in profession activities as required (e.g.
presentations of findings)
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a health or social sciences discipline; graduate
degree in health or social sciences discipline preferred
Significant amount of related experience, including project management,
working with confidential data, and working with patients and health
professionals
Previous supervisory experience an asset
Computer proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and
PowerPoint), ProCite, NUD-IST; knowledge using PeopleSoft applications
(Financials)
Excellent qualitative research skills, including data collection, analysis
and dissemination of results
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and
organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work with limited
supervision
