The following publications may be of interest to teachers and
practitioners in public health, health education, and health promotion:

Research Methods in Health Promotion (Richard A. Crosby, Ralph J.
DiClemente, Laura F. Salazar, editors, ISBN: 978-0-7879-7679-8, 472 pages)
is a straightforward introduction for students and practitioners to
research design, implementation, analysis, and interpretation in the field
of health promotion. (Note: Chapter-by-chapter PowerPoint slides are
available to instructors.)

Tools for Teaching Health (Shannon Whalen, Dominick Splendorio, Sal
Chiariello, ISBN: 978-0-7879-9407-5, 320 pages) is a comprehensive set of
classroom-tested, ready to use activities and lessons developed and
written by highly experienced health educators. For educators,
practitioners, or those in professional preparation programs, the book is
rich with proven activities that are hands-on, student-centered,
interactive, and centered on key risk areas identified by the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (Note: activities and lessons are
reproducible for classroom use.)
