We hope you all have been taking care! The Diversity Caucus steering committee would like to share a few important updates with the wider community of HET.

The steering committee has put together a new report that captures the Caucus's activities to date. Please see attached for the report and let us know if you have any suggestions for additions or changes.

We are also planning to hold a general meeting of the Caucus soon to discuss our progress and what we can do in the year ahead to materialize some of the great ideas that have come out of our past discussions. Please help us choose the date for the meeting by filling out this Doodle poll by Friday: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/b4z0W07e. Among other things, we aim to install the new steering committee member(s) at this meeting, so please do have a think about whether you would be interested in serving in this role. If you have any questions about what the position entails, let us know.

Finally, we are planning a lunch meeting for Caucus members during the HES meeting in Vancouver. The lunch will be on Friday, June 23rd at 12:30pm at a nearby restaurant, Kamei Royale, located at 1066 West Hastings (3-minute walk from the hotel). Unfortunately we do not have a budget to cover everyone's meals, but the restaurant does have many options for under $20. Please let us know if you will be at HES and interested in joining for the lunch by May 31st. Thank you Margaret Schabas for helping us organize this!
