Dear colleagues,

The Politics of Economics networks has, since 2017, brought together researchers from a range of disciplines, backgrounds, and locations, to discuss the dynamics of economic knowledge and expertise. The last two terms were low in events, but we are organising a final one: a workshop that will be held in Cambridge on the 14th of September 2022.

Paying particular attention to the intertwining of economics’ normative and epistemic import, the network has explored: the contemporary and historical role of economists in policy, the politics within the profession, and the uses of quantification, socio-economic devices, and models in politics and public life. In this closing workshop, we will take stock of these debates and project their implications forward.

You will find all the information and programme on CRASSH website: https://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/35095/

The format is a discussion workshop. We have limited available spots for people to join online or in-person: contact me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) directly if you are interested, as soon as possible and by Friday 2 September, indicating the reasons for your interest and whether you wish to attend in person or online.

All the best,

Cléo
