_Webster's New World Dictionary of Quotable Definitions_, edited
by Eugene Brussel, Prentice-Hall, 1988, lists the following
definition for "Forgiveness":

Forgiveness -- The fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that
has crushed it.
- Mark Twain

I've been unable to verify the quote using searchable texts
(CD "Twain's World", and other online texts.) Is this Twain,
or just another attribution?

Thanks,
Barb
