Fellow Twainiacs,

I have attached a CFP that may be of interest to list members. A paper
dealing with Twain's romance-bashing, and/or _Innocents Abroad_, and/or
_A Tramp Abroad_, might be an interesting addition to the panel.

Call for Papers:
"The Atlantic in Transatlantic Romanticism" (Special Session Topic)
RMMLA Conference Calgary, Alberta, Canada October 4-6, 2007

The Atlantic in Transatlantic Romanticism

Papers sought examining literatures in English relating to transatlantic
Romanticism. Subjects might include (but are not limited to):
cross-cultural influences, early globalization, human rights,
colonialism, the slave trade, the environment. Imaginative responses to
the ocean and/or seagoing are also encouraged. Send 300-word abstracts
via email by March 1, 2007, to Jeff Miller ([log in to unmask]) or
Brian Cooney ([log in to unmask]).
