A colleague from abroad has asked for my suggestions about the following:

any works written about the role of women in Mark Twain's writings and
especially in "Tom Sawyer".

I mentioned the chapters in both Cambridge Companion to MT and in
Historical Guide to MT. Any other titles come to mind??

thanks,--
