Mark Twain goes into great detail describing this fabulous badge
devised by Mr Blank of Corrigan Castle/Bendigo, VIC.  He even includes
an illustration of same in "Following the Equator".  I'm curious as to
whether such a device ever existed and if so where it might be found.
