1. About three weeks ago, The Citadel changed my internet address from
[log in to unmask] to [log in to unmask] If anyone has sent a
message that failed to reach me, please re-try at the new address. I also
have
not been receiving the Twain-L messages, so if something seems applicable
there, I would be glad to receive it directly.
2. The change of address was particularly untimely because I had just
published
the old address in the MARK TWAIN CIRCULAR, of which I am the Editor; and
that
most recent CIRCULAR issue (July-Sept. 1992) contained a call for papers for
a
book which I plan to edit (for Duke University Press) on Teaching
HUCKLEBERRY
FINN and Other Works by Mark Twain. If you send a proposal or query by
e-mail,
please be sure to use the new address.
3. If you are not a CIRCULAR subscriber (i.e., a member of the Mark Twain
Circle) but would like to receive the call for papers for the Teaching Twain
book, let me know and I'll send you one.
4. I plan to publish a list of the e-mail addresses of subscribers to
Twain-L
in the next CIRCULAR issue (Oct.-Dec. 1992). If you would prefer not to
have
your address published, please let me know by Oct. 20.
