CALL FOR PAPERS
2008 MLA CONVENTION
SAN FRANCISCO, 27-30 December, 2008

The Mark Twain Circle will sponsor one session at the 2008 MLA
Convention.  The topic is open; the Circle is especially interested
in papers which offer fresh connections between Mark Twain's work and
broader subjects and issues in American literary and cultural
studies.   Abstracts and proposals of 1-2 pages can be sent to
Professor Bruce Michelson, Vice President of the Mark Twain Circle of
America, at [log in to unmask]   Deadline for receipt of proposals is
March 15, 2008.
