"A steamboat is as pretty as a wedding cake but without the complications." This quote, or a variant of it, is often attributed to Mark Twain but without any text or occasion associated with it, which leads me to think it's a phony. Does anyone have information suggesting Clemens ever wrote or said it? If so, please let me know, and thanks.
