At North Dakota State University in Fargo I had a young undergraduate
student named Clemens who assured me he was a descendent of Mark Twain.
It was about 20-30 years ago, and, as I recall, he claimed to be a great,
great, great nephew (give or take a great).  I may have more info in my
great files and records (give or take a great).
