There is an article online today in THE GUARDIAN that may be of interest
regarding the silver swan robot that Mark Twain wrote about in INNOCENTS
ABROAD.  Also a video of it in action.  Tiny url is:

It somewhat reminds me of the movie version of the Paige typesetter in
ADVENTURES OF MARK TWAIN (1944).
