That is shocking and sad news. Barry and I were the same age, both 64 year
old youngsters. I was privileged to be on Barry's email list, and whenever
he had something to get off his chest, I'd get a hilarious screed in my
mailbox. Jim Zwick was on that list too since Barry's humor ran in the
directions of politics and lunatics and how they invariably intersect. When
his book, NEVER SHAKE HANDS WITH A WAR CRIMINAL, came out about 15 years ago
he sent me a copy with a wonderful inscription. That book literally begins
in the preface with the words "Mark Twain" and I recommend it to any
anti-Imperialist who appreciates humor. Barry will be missed. I shall humbly
suggest that the best way to honor his memory will be to perpetually seek
tolerance, peace, common sense, humanity, and grace, and never ever be quiet
in the pursuit.

I was sorry to read of the passing of long-time Forum friend Barry Crimmins

https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/2018/03/01/barry-crimmins-comedian-and-sex-abuse-activist-dead-at-64.html

I believe I met him only once, many years ago

I hope his better friends here will share their memories of a great person
