Hello everyone.
I recently received a donation of the book The Prince and the Pauper, which
was inscribed, "Merry Christmas to Elizabeth from the Author, 1908" -
definitely Mark Twain's hand.
The donor told me that her mother was a seamstress at Stormfield, and that
her name was Elizabeth Dick.
Does anyone know anything about her? The niece of the donor is looking
through their family history to see if she can find out more - she believes
she has a picture somewhere - but I thought I would reach out to the Twain
world as well.
Many thanks, as usual.
Heather Morgan.
