Jean Clemens was found dead by Katy Leary on the morning of Christmas
Eve, 1909 at her home in Stormfield, where she had lived for the last 8
months of her life.

Edison may have filmed the walk around the house, and the tea, as he was
a friend of Twain's and may well have visited the house. I will check in
Twain's Guestbook.

I have taken a few people around Stormfield when I was Director of the
Mark  Library. It is a lovely home in a beautiful spot, and there are
still a few original parts, including the basement to the house. It is
now to be sold, and the wonderful people who own it, will be gone. I can
only hope that whoever buys it will have the same love and understanding
of the Mark Twain heritage in Redding.

Heather Morgan.
