Dear Forum Members:
I have finally finished the article I told you I would write to
thank you all for your kindnesses at Elmira. I struggled to keep this
down to 20 pages. For those of you who want to look at it, follow
Kevin's kind directions.
I regret to say that at the end when I thanked those who have helped
me along, I neglected to mention Vic Fischer, Bob Hirst and Ed Branch.
They all were kind enough to exam the new "Sam" letter that I found in
my research. Ed was kind enough to opine that the letter is "a very
possible, perhaps probable, item by Clemens." Thanks to all of them for
the generous gift of their time and counsel. It is always exciting to
unearth something new!
I welcome any criticism. (I am counting on hearing from Peter
Messent!)
    Thank you all again.
    Terrell
