    It was also my impression that Twain's granddaughter died childless.
On the other hand, there are at least two articles out there (New York
Times, 8-15-93) and the Minneapolis Star Tribune (5-18-94) that reported
Twain as a direct ancestor of O'Neill. The Star Tribune story said that
this is surprising, but I don't think they knew how surprising.
