Might it be his "Lantern for Sale," a burlesque advertisement in which Diogenes is selling his lantern, published in a 1905 Harper's?
The full text reads: 
"Lantern for Sale. Cheap. Apply to: Diogenes, 35 Cinder Square, Hell."
