The book in question, and one other by the same two well-meaning but
deluded ladies, came up briefly in a discussion on the Gaslight forum.
Apparently the writing was 'vetted' at the time by a Psychical Researcher
who pronounced the writing to be Twain's.  Obviously said researcher had
NOT read much of the author's work.

I should think that if Twain really had intended to communicate a
posthumous novel (and I wouldn't put anything past him, alive or dead) he'd
have at least chosen a channeler with comparable writing skills!

Turning in his grave, indeed.
