Hi,

I'm trying to verify a quotation that is widely attributed to Mark
Twain but I have yet to find a primary source for it-

"The worst loneliness is not to be comfortable with yourself."

Does anyone know if Twain said or wrote this?

Many thanks in advance,

Sara Bader
