In response to the item from The sharp list, the last note, "F. O. c. Darley
illustrated Twain's "the gilded Age."  Well, he may have done one of the
editions -- I'll look up the Darley bibliography to see which one -- but the
first edition was not done by Darley but by several illustrators.  The
principal artist was Augustus Hoppin with True Williams as a helpful second,
and other illustrators used when needed.  Submitted just to keep the record
straight.
