Subject: MT IN HIS OWN TIME ed. G. Scharnhorst

 Friends;

In the spirit of the release of the great new volume of the AUTO., I'm just
letting everyone know, in case anyone missed this: Gary Scharnhorst's new
book "MT IN HIS OWN TIME" is out now from the U of Iowa Press. In paper, these are also quite modest in price; the series is a very good one, including excellent recent volumes on the likes of Hawthorne, Poe, Alcott, Stowe, and others.

I have a copy of the MT volume (of all of 'em, in fact); "MT IN HIS OWN TIME" is great, with some nice, rarely seen pieces included. I suppose Gary is about the best archivist I know, as far as rooting out these sorts of undiscovered gems. Stay tuned for a FORUM review, I suppose (yes, Barb?).
