OK, lemme try again, hopefully with all links working properly.

The "local author" is Max McCoy, presumably of Emporia, Kansas. His talk is
at 6:30 p.m. Friday (tomorrow) at Ellen Plumb’s City Bookstore at 1101
Commercial St. in Emporia (620-208-2665).

The news story about him was in the Emporia Gazette, online at
www.emporiagazette.com/latest_news_and_features/article_18b342f5-6bd2-5367-ba26-b2147f2bd056.html
.

His article is in a new quarterly called New Territory, which posted a link
to the story, complete with an almost magically unflattering photo of Paine
(I never did like Paine), at its website:
http://newterritorymag.com/2016/11/24/twains-mysterious-stranger.

Happy hunting!
