They might also like to visit Keokuk, Iowa just one hour north of Hannibal.
Samuel Clemens also lived here. On the 23rd of May we are having our 2nd
annual Back Alley Bandfest which is free and LOTS of fun. We have a
bookstore on Main Street and antique shops and art galleries. A beautiful
river town with outstanding bed and breakfasts.

My husband and I own an art gallery that is one of the beautiful old homes
here. You might even want to buy Samuel Clemen's mother's home which is
currently for sale.

There is the Miller House Museum and a paddle boat from the 1920's that you
can tour. Lock and Dam 19 are also here and the Mississippi River is
beautiful.

If anyone wants more information, I would be glad to give your name and
address to our tourist department and they will send you brochures.

We are in the very beginning stages of putting together a Mark Twain event
for Keokuk.

Happy Traveling,

Sandy
