For the archival record, this posting is made to correct one (of the many)
incorrect statements made regarding the last malicious & untruthful posting
against Bob Slotta. This correction of error contains just the 100%
positive defensive truth, free of any negative reply. This posting only
addresses the single most worst inaccuracy -- the one specifically aimed at
Mr. Slotta's acquisition process of the 1856 poem to Mollie Clemens.

Suffice it to say Bob Slotta of www.MarkTwainCollector.com aka Robert Slotta
of Admirable Books & www.admirablebooks.com was not the only rare book or
manuscript dealer involved in the process of buying the 1856 manuscript, as
the wrongful posting claimed. The family was very well informed, having
been in contact with the number one collector of Mark Twain in the USA &
also the number one dealer in Mark Twain in the USA. The number one Mark
Twain collector in the USA at the time, Mr. Nick Karanovich , was never
interfered with dealing with the family, and the family was never interfered
with in dealing with Mr. Karanovich. Indeed Mr. Karanovich made his best
offer free of any interference, and was free to make more offers. Other
interested entities were also a part of the process. The ONLY way Bob
Slotta acquired the manuscript was because he offered the most money for it
, AND the family recognized it as the very generous offer that it was.
Period.

The truth is that Bob Slotta acquires original Mark Twain memorabilia by
offering the most money for it. He offers the top dollar for top quality
original Mark Twain memorabilia. This is a very simple formula that he has
used to acquire the HUNDREDS OF UNPUBLISHED WORKING NOTES FOR THE DIRECT
SEQUEL TO HUCKLEBERRY FINN, the original HANDWRITTEN MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
BONDING SAM CLEMENS & LIVY LANGDON IN HOLY MATRIMONY, and many other highly
important Mark Twain letters, manuscripts, & photographs, etc., way too
numerous to mention. The 1856 Mollie poem was acquired the same exact way,
by offering the most money.

Hoping this is the return to complete accuracy in postings to this site, &
also marking the end of anyone having to defend themselves against baseless
& malicious charges, I am, Hopefully Optimistic...
