The first page of the Arts section of today's (Wednesday, July 15) New York
Times features an article by Glenn Collins on Mark Twain. Though the
article's focus is on the new IMAX film, Collins discusses Twain's
continuing popularity. The Mark Twain Forum and Jim Zwick's Mining Company
Mark Twain web site are mentioned in the article. Several Mark Twain
scholars are quoted in the piece and there is information about forthcoming
Twain documentaries.

Also of interest is an article in this morning's San Francisco Chronicle.
PBS announced yesterday that nine new productions of American dramas
will be filmed for the public network and presented as ``Mobil Masterpiece
Theatre's American Collection" to be aired during the 1999-2000 season.
Among the dramas will be ``Mark and Livy,'' a film about Mark Twain and his
wife, Olivia.
