Re:  Connecticut Yankee:  Way back in the '80s, the San Francisco Chronicle ran an article about Terry Gilliam, of Monty Python fame, having acquired rights to make a film of the Yankee.  I always thought he'd bring the right mix of wild humor and twisted insight to make a film true to the spirit of the novel. . . . but evidently nothing came of it.  Anyone know more?
