You will find good stuff in the Mark Twain-Howells correspondence.  I
don't have the volumes here at the office, and it's been a while, but both
men lost daughters of about the same age, as well as losing their wives.
I remember one letter from Howells about visiting his daughter Winifred's
grave and quoting Emily Dickinson.  It seems a little cold-blooded, given
the subject, to wish you HAPPY hunting, so I'll just send good wishes for
your project.
