After the famous Concord Library Committee's Banning of _Huck Finn_, Twain
was elected to an honorary membership of the Free Trade club. It was a kind
of compensation or a conciliatory policy on the Committee's side. I am
wondering what kind of club the Free Trade Crub was and if any one can
explain.
